A Chicago Wedding Wish
Is there actually any point to having a Chicago wedding and not making it mean something? Let yours truly to tell everyone a thing or three about the Shapiro family’s storied wedding planning reputation. Maybe if you live in Chicago you know we boast a lengthy practice of creating amazing luxury weddings.
The wedding industry is our life. Practically everyone we know works weddings: designers, caterers, chefs and bands. Would you believe my son is a wildly-successful wedding host and violinist–and oh boy it’s impressive! This month my assistant has considered a who’s who collection of vendors including some Chicago wedding resources. It goes without saying that I was raised planning weddings. As a pro luxury wedding planner myself, I am finally organizing my dream wedding with a lot of insight from sister. But that’s not all, I am madly in love! One might say I’ve been swept off my world by love.
My mom, luxury wedding cake vendor friend and I, are party planners and best friends. She is actually jealous soon-to-be husband Doggie. The other day, we busted out the 1980s video footage of her notoriously tacky Dallas wedding. Good times funny, but trends come and go. Can you find the a lesson about class in there somewhere.
You wouldn’t believe how great this is. Our company is so generous to be taking care of all the reservations, and we’ll be at one of the tallest hotels! I can’t tell you when and where cause who needs party crashers. So my hunk of a man is a world-class composer and dropped a note to me he worked some magic for the wedding reception. He hasn’t told me what yet. I’m sure it just might blow our minds! We know that’s what a Chicago wedding is most essentially about. Cheers to the luxury of living.
