Correct to Fold
In poker online , a player who folds often is labeled at weak or too tight. However, folding is the correct thing to do most of the time, especially when you have any doubts about the strength of your hand. Every hand you fold amounts to chips that are saved for the right opportunity. Strong poker players know to fold most their hands pre-flop, especially from early position. When your bet is met with a re-raise, it is often a sign that you’re up against a stronger hand. There is no shame in folding instead of chasing to make an unlikely bad beat. Being able to make a good lay down -when a King and Ace come out to trump your Jacks on the flop – is the hallmark of a good player. You do need to mix up your play and go after some speculative hands when you can get in cheap. But when your dealt marginal cards, and are facing a raise, fold.
