Intelius Boosts Its Charitable Contributions

Intelius, a leading search, screening and identity protection provider, significantly increased its contributions to charity despite the tight economy in 2008.

Intelius Inc, which is based in Bellevue, Washington, gave almost $210,000 to a number of local and national nonprofit organizations. Together with their 191 employees, the company’s contributions in 2008 set a new record in corporate giving. The recipients of the company’s donations in 2008 include an assortment of nonprofit organizations advocating healthcare, youth, family issues, and education such as Hopelink, a nonprofit organization devoted to assisting people with low income become self sufficient.

Intelius’ other charitable partners for 2008 were the Children’s Hospital, the Bellevue Boys and Girls Club, the Eastside Domestic Violence Program, Treehouse, and the Bellevue School Foundation.

Company CEO Naveen Jain stressed out the point that because of the country’s economic situation, many Americans now find themselves in great need. Jain and Intellius have made it their responsibility to extend their help and support at a time when several others are forced to reconsider doing so. Jain also expressed his admiration for the groups they work with and revealed that one of his greatest intentions is to be an example to other people and companies.

Intellius has also established a scholarship endowment program at the University of Washington. The scholarship endowment program benefits undergraduate students in computer science and engineering, and business, with financial assistance.

Currently, the company has given $170,000 to the scholarship endowment program.In spite of having extended help in various ways in the previous year, the company still aims to raise its contributions for 2009 as a corporation while continuously encouraging its employees to embrace a giving spirit.
