Modern Advanced Wind Turbines
In earlier years these turbines were widely criticized for being too bulky and space consuming. With modern advances turbines can be installed right on your roof for an affordable price. All though domestic wind turbines won eliminate the need of energy completely when coupled with solar energy it holds the potential to become a full-time self sufficient renewable energy solution for many years to come. More and more people have realised that they must take steps to reduce dependence on fossil fuel generated power which pollutes our atmosphere with its emissions. Coal and natural gas powered electric power production has increased at an alarming rate in recent times and is a major cause of atmospheric pollution. Wind power by comparision is absolutely clean and the only objectiion to it,voiced by some people,is visual pollution from the arrays of wind turbines necessary for large scale power production. They do not need to be “pointed” into the wind. They maintain the same orientation no matter what the wind direction. This can be beneficial if the wind direction is variable. If the the wind shifts often or is very turbulent, then a vertical turbine may be the way to go.3.Electricity?It is predicted that the majority of the households in the United States will be producing some sort of renewable energy to run their homes. It is the preferred solution to conventional electricity due to its cost savings and more environmentally friendly benefits.
